223 Hickman

223 Hickman Street is a South Rehoboth Beach vacation rental situated approximately three blocks from the beach.

Guests will enter this coastal getaway on the first floor, where they will find one bedroom and a full bathroom. There is space for everyone in this rental home as well, as the first floor includes a living room, large family room, and private sitting room with futon. Completing the first floor are the kitchen and dining rooms.

Head upstairs to find the remaining four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms share one bathroom, which is located in the hallway. There is a single bedroom which connects to the large en-suite with its own bathroom.

At this beach home, guests will find off-street parking for two cars, and the owner also offers two on-street parking passes that can be used at any non-metered parking spots within the city of Rehoboth Beach.

Guests can also take advantage of the garage, which may be used for storing all your beach equipment, and enjoy outdoor living on the front screened porch.

*This is a non smoking home. Pets are not permitted.

A linen package can be purchased for your stay. The cost of the linen package for one week’s stay is $310.00. To purchase the linen package please indicate on the linen addendum, an agent will be in touch with the lease agreement and additional paperwork.

7 Night Stays- starting mid June through September
2 Night Stays- starting Jan through early June and October through December

Bedding-
First floor- 1 Double & 1 Twin, 1 Double Futon
Second floor- 1 Queen, 2 Singles, 1 King and 1 Twin Trundle, 1 Single - *The king and the trundle are in one large en-suite; One single bedroom with twin bed is adjoining to the en-suite but can be closed off for privacy. You have to walk thru the single bedroom to get to the King/trundle bedroom.

  Overall we were very satisfied. Nice location . Storing bikes in the garage was very helpful. We were surprised that the place had no supplies like trash bags, detergent (laundry or dish). Two step areas were dangerous1) going from kitchen to family room the flooring is the same and there is a small hidden step. 2nd there is a landing on the main level that intersects with stairs, LR, BR and den- to go through you must go up and down. Treacherous! There was also water damage and missing parts to fan on front porch. Despite the flaws we had a good time.

  Great size and location of home. Small outdoor space good for littles to play out back. Close to an amazing park for kids too. Short walk to Rehoboth Ave and easy walk to beach and boardwalk. Property is a little cumbersome with small children as there is no outdoor access to garage. Strollers, coolers, and beach toys needed to be taken up stairs onto the covered porch to be stored. Would've been nice to have outside access to garage.

  Our two generation family thoroughly enjoyed the week we spent on Hickman Street. The house was impeccably clean, the kitchen was well appointed and ,important for our 3 year old grandson, it was near Turtle Bridge and a playground. We especially enjoyed the "garage drop zone" which was perfect for bikes, sandy toys and wet towels. We will be back next year!

  223 Hickman is a fabulous house. The photos don’t do it justice! We were wondering about the layout and couldn’t really figure it out from the photos, so here it is. First floor has a small living room at the front door, turning left leads to a dining room, kitchen, and spacious family room. Off of the family room is a den with a futon and full bath. Off of the living room (pull out couch) is a small bedroom with a twin and a double bed; this room worked well for two people. Upstairs is a full bath, queen bedroom, twin bedroom, and a king bedroom with a full bath. There is a small twin room that you go through to get to the king suite; it wasn’t a problem for us.
  The house is furnished beautifully too (we loved the beach touches); great sofa in the family room, comfortable dining room (we worked puzzles nearly every day), well stocked kitchen. Bedrooms were furnished well too, and all of the mattresses were firm. Excellent front porch; good basement laundry room; nice outdoor shower.
  The walk to the beach and the walk to town are about ten minutes; we had no problem with it. Plenty of parking: three cars easily fit in the driveway, plus there are two permits for street parking. A beautiful, shady, quiet neighborhood. Perfect for a family trip!
